“I think there certainly could be a point where there are so many regulations that it stops our business and you just can’t afford to stay in business… We have all of our customers always pressing, pressing, pressing for lower prices, lower prices—you need to drop your prices. You got costs going up and more rules to deal with and you just get squeezed in the middle.”

Karen Beagle, President, DARE Electronics (Troy, OH)

The Impact of Regulations on Ohio

  • 4,128 regulations could be implemented over the next four years, which would greatly impact the American economy
  • $515 billion is the estimated cost of planned regulations to the economy
  • 1,006,937 people who work in Ohio’s major industries could be impacted by the tidal wave of regulations
  • $103 billion of Ohio’s gross state product (GSP) could be negatively impacted

In order to help Ohio’s small businesses and overall economy, we need sensible, clear, and fair regulations. This administration should be making sure that every regulation protects American citizens, without harming small businesses. This will help our small businesses hire and invest and ultimately, make America’s economy healthier.
