“The current business climate in Florida has become so cumbersome it’s difficult to invest, hire or grow. When one considers there are more than 4,100 regulations waiting to be approved, or that small business spend about two billion hours a year filing tax work, it’s not surprising we aren’t able to focus on creating new jobs.”
Dean Mixon, Owner of Mixon Fruit Farms (Bradenton, FL)
The Impact of Regulations on Florida
- 4,128 regulations could be implemented over the next four years, which would greatly impact the American economy
- $515 billion is the estimated cost of planned regulations to the economy
- 954,383 people who work in Florida’s major industries could be impacted by the tidal wave of regulations
- $90 billion of Florida’s gross state product (GSP) could be negatively impacted
In order to help Florida’s small businesses and overall economy, we need sensible, clear, and fair regulations. This administration should be making sure that every regulation protects American citizens, without harming small businesses. This will help our small businesses hire and invest and ultimately, make America’s economy healthier.
