We’re living in a time when regulations are threatening to strangle business, and it’s not hard to deduce its negative impact on the economy as a whole.
It’s a simple formula for businesses, really: More rules mean more costs and less hiring.
Just in the last week, a federal court pushed back against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s attempts to exert more control over coal-fired plants in Texas. The court ruled the EPA — again — had overstepped its authority, and by reining in the agency saved hundreds of jobs and ensured the viability of the power grid in a state that needs more juice every year.
