KTVN; Jobs Report Frustrates Nevada’s Longterm Unemployed

The dismal national jobs report out today showed a trend toward fewer and fewer jobs being created in this country. And that has added to the frustration of Nevada’s longterm unemployed.

The JobsConnect office in Reno was busy today and those who work there say it’s been steadily busy for months now as Nevada continues to have the highest unemployment rate in the nation at 11.7% – down from 12% the month before.

In the Reno/Sparks area, the rate fell from 12% to 11.4%. And in Carson City unemployment dropped from 12.4% to 11.8%.
